wow.. very long didn't blog le..

this is wat I saw a few days ago.. saw an elderly man opening the dustbin cover and bending over it to look for cans. Well, this scene is common I suppose in Singapore today. Argh.. but seriously, I hate it.. I hate to see the elderly looking through the rubbish just for cans.. At first, I tot I hate it because it is dirty and unhygienic. No, later I realised.. I hate it because my heart always go out to them when I see them resorting to such desperate means to earn a living. Where are their children? Dun they support them? Won't their heart ache to know that their parents are doing this? After all, our parents are the ones who brought us up.. and filial piety has always been a moral value that is being emphasized since young. In this case, is it the children's fault for being heartless or is it the elderly's fault for failing to inculcate filial piety in them?

Anyway, the old man walked off later with his hands behind his back. To his disappointment, there are no cans in the bin. However, not long away, there is a can lying on the grass..
